Having the raw guts and courage it takes to sign up for pageants is highly commendable, but also necessary when trying to make it in an industry like this where dreams are smashed and broken every day, while simultaneously pageant winners enjoy all-expense-paid trips, fame, and eventual stardom.
If you don't have what it takes, maybe just organize your own in-home pageants with some neighbors and close friends, where you can practice the feel of such an event. Many people don't realize the emotional toll that participating in things like pageants can take on a young person until they are already involved.
